Cheese Danish Recipe

This Cheese Danish recipe is simple yet delightful, perfect for breakfast or dessert.

  • 8 oz cream cheese softened
  • 1 cup sugar divided
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 eggs beaten
  • 1 package puff pastry thawed

Preparation Steps

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a medium bowl, combine the cream cheese, 3/4 cup of sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  • Roll out the puff pastry and cut it into 8 rectangles.
  • Place a spoonful of the cheese mixture in the center of each rectangle and fold the corners in toward the center.
  • Brush the pastries with the beaten eggs and sprinkle with the remaining sugar.
  • Bake for 25 minutes or until golden brown. Let them cool before serving.

Notes

These Cheese Danishes can be stored in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days.
