Instructions
Preparation Steps
In a bowl, mix flour and salt. Add butter and mix until crumbly.
Add ice water gradually until dough forms. Chill for 30 minutes.
Roll out dough and cut into circles.
In a saucepan, cook apples, caramel, and cinnamon until apples are tender.
Place filling on dough circles, fold, and seal edges.
Bake at 375°F for 20 minutes or until golden brown.
Notes
These empanadas are best served warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
