  • 0.5 cup butter unsalted
  • 1 cup heavy cream at room temperature
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract pure
  • 0.25 teaspoon salt

Preparation Steps

  • Melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat.
  • Stir in brown sugar and salt, cooking until sugar dissolves.
  • Slowly whisk in heavy cream and bring to a boil.
  • Reduce heat and simmer for 3-4 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract.

Notes

Store sauce in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to two weeks.
