Butterfinger Fudge Cookie Bars

Delicious, chewy cookie bars filled with Butterfinger pieces and topped with a rich fudge layer.

  • 1.5 cups all-purpose flour sifted
  • 0.5 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs large
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1.5 cups Butterfinger pieces chopped
  • 1 cup chocolate chips for fudge layer
  • 0.5 cup heavy cream for fudge layer

Preparation Steps

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a mixing bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  • Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  • Gradually add the flour to the mixture and mix well.
  • Stir in the Butterfinger pieces and spread the batter into a greased 9x13 inch baking dish.
  • Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown. Let cool.
  • In a saucepan over low heat, combine chocolate chips and heavy cream for the fudge layer. Stir until melted and smooth.
  • Pour the fudge over the cooled cookie bars and spread evenly. Let set before slicing.

Notes

Store the bars in an airtight container for up to a week.
