Instructions
Preparation Steps
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line an 8x8 inch baking pan with parchment paper.
In a large bowl, whisk together flour, brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt.
Cut in cold butter using a pastry blender or your fingers until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
Press the crumb mixture into the prepared pan.
In a separate bowl, whisk together the corn syrup, egg, and vanilla extract.
Pour the corn syrup mixture evenly over the crumb crust.
Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the filling is set and the edges are golden brown.
Let cool completely before cutting into squares.
