Bread Pudding Vanilla Sauce

  • 4 cups cubed stale bread day-old bread works best
  • 2 cups milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Preparation Steps

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
  • In a large bowl, combine the cubed bread, milk, eggs, sugar, vanilla extract, and cinnamon. Mix well to combine.
  • Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish. Bake for 45 minutes, or until set and golden brown.
  • Serve warm with vanilla sauce.

Notes

For a richer flavor, use heavy cream instead of milk. You can also add raisins, chocolate chips, or other desired mix-ins.
