Preparation Steps

  • Preheat your waffle iron according to the manufacturer's instructions.
  • In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together the milk, egg, and melted butter.
  • Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and gently stir until just combined. Do not overmix.
  • Gently fold in the blueberries.
  • Pour 1/2 cup of batter onto the preheated waffle iron and cook until golden brown and crispy.

Notes

For extra flavor, add a teaspoon of vanilla extract to the batter. You can also use frozen blueberries, but make sure to thaw them completely before adding them to the batter.
