  • 3 cups fresh blueberries Frozen blueberries may be substituted.
  • 1 box yellow cake mix
  • 1 cup vegetable oil
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 cup melted butter

Preparation Steps

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking pan.
  • Pour blueberries into the prepared pan.
  • In a large bowl, combine cake mix, oil, and eggs. Mix until just combined.
  • Pour batter over the blueberries.
  • In a separate bowl, combine powdered sugar and melted butter. Mix until smooth.
  • Crumble the sugar-butter mixture evenly over the batter.
  • Bake for 35-40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  • Let cool completely before serving.

Notes

This cake is best served warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
