Instructions
Preparation Steps
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
In a large bowl, combine blackberries, ¾ cup sugar, 2 tablespoons flour, and cinnamon. Stir in lemon juice.
Pour mixture into a greased 8x8 inch baking dish.
In a separate bowl, whisk together 1 cup flour, ½ cup sugar, baking powder, and salt.
Stir in milk and melted butter until just combined.
Pour batter over the blackberry mixture.
Bake for 40-45 minutes, or until golden brown and bubbly.
Let cool slightly before serving.
Notes
Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.
