Instructions
Preparation Steps
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a large bowl, mix the blackberries, 3/4 cup sugar, and lemon juice. Set aside.
In another bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and the remaining sugar.
Stir in the milk and melted butter until the batter is smooth.
Pour the batter into a greased baking dish, then pour the blackberry mixture over the batter.
Bake in the preheated oven for 40 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and bubbling.
Notes
Serve warm with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream for a classic treat.
