  • In a bowl, whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form.
  • Gradually add the powdered sugar and vanilla extract, beating until combined.
  • Layer the pound cake, whipped cream, and berries in a trifle bowl or individual glasses.
  • Repeat layers as desired.
  • Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving.

Notes

For a richer flavor, use homemade custard instead of whipped cream.
