Beef Stroganoff Recipe

A creamy and flavorful Beef Stroganoff recipe, perfect for a weeknight dinner. This recipe uses tender beef, mushrooms, and a rich sauce.

  • 1 lb Beef sirloin
  • 8 oz Mushrooms
  • 1 cup Sour cream
  • 0.5 cup Beef broth
  • 2 tbsp Butter
  • 2 tbsp All-purpose flour

Preparation Steps

  • Cut beef into strips and season with salt and pepper.
  • Melt butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add beef and cook until browned.
  • Add mushrooms and cook until softened. Stir in flour and cook for 1 minute.
  • Gradually whisk in beef broth until smooth. Bring to a simmer and cook until sauce thickens.
  • Stir in sour cream and heat through. Do not boil.
  • Serve over noodles or rice.

Notes

For a richer flavor, use cream instead of sour cream. You can also add other vegetables, such as onions or peppers.
