  • 1.5 cups Whole Milk
  • 0.5 cups Sugar
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
  • 6 large Eggs

Preparation Steps

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). In a saucepan, combine milk and sugar. Heat over medium heat, stirring until sugar dissolves.
  • In a bowl, whisk together eggs and vanilla extract. Slowly pour the warm milk mixture into the egg mixture, whisking constantly.
  • Pour the custard mixture into ramekins. Place ramekins in a baking dish and pour hot water into the dish, reaching halfway up the sides of the ramekins.
  • Bake for 45 minutes, or until the custards are set. Let cool completely before refrigerating for at least 2 hours.

Notes

For a richer caramel, use brown sugar. Enjoy chilled!
