  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 0.5 cup butter at room temperature
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs large eggs beaten
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 0.25 teaspoon salt

Preparation Steps

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9x13 inch pan.
  • In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  • Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the mashed bananas.
  • Combine flour, baking soda, and salt; stir into the banana mixture.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared pan.
  • Bake for 50 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean.

Notes

This banana cake is best served fresh. Store leftovers in an airtight container.
