Preparation Steps
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
In a large bowl, combine the apples, pears, oats, brown sugar, flour, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
Cut in the cold butter using a pastry blender or your fingers until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
Pour the fruit mixture into a greased 8x8 inch baking dish.
Bake for 40-45 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown and the fruit is bubbly.
