These colorful 4th of July cookies are perfect for celebrating Independence Day with friends and family.

Instructions
Preparation Steps
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla.
Combine flour and baking powder, add to the creamed mixture, and mix well.
Roll rounded teaspoonfuls of dough into balls, and roll the balls in sprinkles. Place them on ungreased cookie sheets about 2 inches apart.
Bake for 10 to 12 minutes in the preheated oven, or until bottom is golden.
Notes
Let cookies cool on the cookie sheets for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks to cool completely.
