  • 2.5 cups all-purpose flour sifted
  • 1 cup unsalted butter softened at room temperature
  • 1.5 cups granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract pure
  • 0.5 teaspoon baking powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup red and blue sprinkles divided

Preparation Steps

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  • In a large bowl, cream together butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla.
  • In another bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and salt; gradually stir into the creamed mixture.
  • Fold in half of the sprinkles. Drop dough by tablespoonfuls onto prepared baking sheets.
  • Top with remaining sprinkles and bake for 10-12 minutes in preheated oven, or until edges are golden.

Notes

These cookies can be stored in an airtight container for up to a week.
